The BEST Night-time Hot Chocolate

Thanks to The Wellness Coach - one of our #YHLbloggers - we have another Your Healthy Living inspired recipe for you try.

As the nights draw in and there’s a definite chill in the air, there’s something very comforting about a mug of warm hot chocolate to relax and calm the body for a good night’s sleep.  It can be an indulgent treat with no guilt when you follow this little gem of a recipe:




To serve – grated chocolate or cacao powder


1. Begin by pouring the coconut milk into a pan, placing on a warm hob and bringing to a simmer, add the cinnamon stick and honey, stirring occasionally.

2. Move fast as the coconut milk only takes 2 minutes to heat, add a teaspoon of raw cacao powder to a small drop of hot water, and stir in a mug of your choice.

3. When the coconut milk is warmed through, remove the cinnamon stick, and if you have a milk frother, begin to froth the milk.

4. Pour the creamy cinnamon and honey-rich coconut milk on top of your chocolate, swirling as you go to mix the milk and chocolate.

5. Snuggle up on a sofa, fire lit, good book, relax and enjoy.
